Do any of the things below, or other things you may do in the first five minutes after you wake up.
As you fall asleep, your body temperature starts to drop. You’re also less active which means your metabolic rate slows down, so when you do wake up you’re also less active. So, take five to ten minutes, be sure to get up after five to ten minutes of sleep. You want to wake up refreshed, energized, and ready to tackle the day with all your wits open. You are on the right track for a productive day.
Go ahead and do your best to wake up at 5:00a.m. If you wake up after 6:00a.m., you’re probably feeling the difference right now. That is, if you can find a way to wake up that early. Do not put off waking up until the late afternoon—you are working within the bounds of your biological clock. Make it a priority to wake up at the same time every day. If you put off waking up, you are going to be behind in your productivity. If you want to be productive and make the best use of your life now, wake up at the same time every day. But you’ll get there, eventually. So, start now. Use this time to think about your dreams. If you can’t wake up at 5:00am, you can’t be effective. Think about what you want to get done today—maybe you want to do something that will make you money, or something that makes you feel better, or a hobby that you can do without having to think. You can go into your mind and feel what the feeling of waking up is like.

Maybe it’s that rush that you get when you wake up. Maybe it’s a feeling of anticipation that you have that makes you feel ready to face the day. Do that. Take your time. Waking up at the same time every day will help you get more sleep on a consistent basis, and when you wake up, you’ll have what you call your “second wake-up.” That’s when you’ll feel like getting up for a new day of work. It’s your “dawn effect” where you get up like a rocket. This will help you get more sleep, have fun with it.
